EnduraVest Pro V1
The vest.
Your questions.

No — because you don't wear all 10kg at once. The vest comes with 10 individual iron blocks, each weighing 960g. You start with as many or as few as feels right. Most people begin around 2kg (roughly two blocks plus the vest body's 400g weight). You add more only when your body tells you it's ready.

Research shows best results come at around 5–10% of your body weight. For a 70kg person, that's 3.5–7kg. The 10kg maximum is there for when you've built up over time — not for day one.

The vest body itself weighs 400g. Each iron block weighs 960g. So the lightest you can wear it is 400g (vest only, no blocks), and the heaviest is 10kg (vest + all 10 blocks). Most people start at 1.36kg–2.36kg (vest plus one or two blocks).

Yes, under close-fitting clothes it will be visible. The EnduraVest is built from 1000D Oxford fabric — it's thick, structured, and sits close to the body. Under a loose hoodie or jacket it's much less visible, but we won't pretend it's invisible. It isn't.

Our position on this: don't hide it. You're doing something most people aren't doing. The vest being visible is a conversation starter, not a problem. Wear it with confidence — it's proof you're doing the work.

1000D refers to the fabric's denier — a measure of thickness and density. 1000D Oxford fabric is the same grade used in serious outdoor and tactical gear. It's thick, structured, highly abrasion-resistant, and built for sustained daily outdoor use in all British weather conditions.

The reason this matters for a weighted vest: cheaper vests use thin nylon or polyester that pills, warps, and breaks down at the stitching within months of daily use. 1000D is built to last years — not months. When you put the EnduraVest on, you immediately feel the difference in weight and rigidity.

The EnduraVest dimensions are 36cm × 41cm. The velcro adjustment straps allow it to be tightened or loosened significantly, making it suitable for a wide range of torso sizes. It is designed for adults aged 18+.

If you are unsure about fit, email us at support@trekkfit.com with your measurements and we'll advise before you order. We'd rather spend five minutes helping you choose than have you go through a return.

Always remove all iron blocks before cleaning or if the vest gets wet. Hand wash the vest in cold water. Do not machine wash, tumble dry, iron or bleach. Air dry flat in a well-ventilated space. The iron blocks themselves do not need washing — wipe with a damp cloth if needed and dry thoroughly to prevent rust.

Yes. The EnduraVest is suitable for walking, running, HIIT, and bodyweight strength training. It is not suitable for swimming or contact sports. For high-intensity running, we recommend starting at a lower weight (2–4kg) until you are comfortable with the impact load, then gradually increasing.

For bodyweight exercises — press-ups, squats, lunges, burpees — the vest adds resistance to every movement and is particularly effective when used in circuit training alongside your walks.

Getting started
Using it
correctly.

There is no fixed timeline — every body adapts differently, and the EnduReco Guide covers this in detail. As a general signal: when your current load feels comfortable for your full walk on multiple consecutive days, and your recovery feels easy, you may be ready to add another block.

Do not rush this. The goal is consistent daily use, not rapid weight increases. Progressing too quickly leads to fatigue or injury, which breaks the habit — which defeats the entire purpose.

There is no reliable fixed timeline — results depend on your starting fitness level, the weight you use, how often you walk, and your overall lifestyle. Research indicates that weighted walking at around 10% body weight increases calorie expenditure per walk at the same speed and distance (Puthoff et al., 2008). Over consistent daily use, that cumulative difference builds — but individual outcomes vary significantly.

What most people notice first is muscular: legs, glutes and core feel more fatigued after walks within the first two to three weeks. Visible body composition changes, where they occur, typically follow over several weeks of consistent use. There is no guaranteed timeline.

Yes — with planned rest days built in. The EnduReco Guide includes a rest day framework that explains how to schedule recovery days and what to do on them (walking without the vest, for instance). Recovery is part of the process, not a failure of it.

The key insight: because the habit is attached to a walk you already take (for your dog, your commute, your school run), consistency is much easier to maintain than with gym-based programmes. The dog doesn't allow rest days without a walk — so the walk happens, and the vest is just a variable within it.

We are not medical professionals and cannot advise on specific health conditions. If you have a back condition, disc problems, osteoporosis, or any musculoskeletal issue, please speak to your GP or physiotherapist before using a weighted vest. We would rather you check first than experience an injury.

For people without pre-existing conditions, a properly fitted weighted vest distributes load evenly across the torso and shoulders — when worn at an appropriate starting weight, it should not cause back pain. If you experience any pain, remove the vest and consult a medical professional.

No. The EnduraVest is not suitable for use during pregnancy. Please consult your midwife or GP regarding safe exercise options during pregnancy. The vest is designed for adults aged 18+ who are not pregnant.

CopperFlow Leg Sleeves
The sleeves.
Your questions.

It means the copper is woven into the fabric at the manufacturing stage — not applied as a surface coating. This is the critical distinction. Many cheaper copper-infused products use a coating that washes out within weeks, taking the antibacterial and compression benefits with it.

In the CopperFlow sleeves, copper comprises 88% of the fabric composition. The remaining 12% is the structural framework (nylon and spandex) that gives the sleeve its stretch and shape. The copper infusion is permanent — it lasts the lifetime of the sleeve because it is the fabric, not a finish on top of it.

Measure your thigh at its widest point while standing tall. Keep the tape horizontal and snug but not compressing:

  • S / M — 45–55cm thigh circumference
  • L / XL — 55–65cm thigh circumference
  • XXL — 65–75cm thigh circumference

Between sizes? Choose the smaller size. Compression sleeves are designed to fit snugly — a tighter fit provides better circulatory support and is less likely to roll down during movement.

The copper infusion provides natural antibacterial properties that actively inhibit odour-causing bacteria. Most people wash them every two to three uses rather than after every single session — but this depends on how much you sweat and your personal preference.

Care instructions: hand wash cold, air dry flat. Do not use fabric softener (it degrades the fabric structure). Do not tumble dry or iron. Do not bleach.

The CopperFlow sleeves are engineered with full-leg ergonomic construction specifically to prevent rolling. If you have sized correctly (and erred smaller if between sizes), they should stay in position from thigh to ankle throughout your walk.

If your sleeves are rolling, it is most likely a sizing issue — try the next size down. Email us at support@trekkfit.com and we will help you get the fit right.

SecureFit Armband
The armband.
Your questions.

The SecureFit Armband fits phones up to 6.7 inches (19cm) in length. This covers the vast majority of smartphones currently on the market, including the largest current iPhone Pro Max, Samsung Galaxy Ultra and Google Pixel models.

If you are unsure whether your specific handset will fit, measure its length and compare to the 19cm internal dimension. If in doubt, email us before ordering.

The armband is made from waterproof PU (polyurethane) construction, designed to protect your phone from sweat, rain and splashes during outdoor walks. It is not submersion-proof — do not take it swimming or submerge it in water. For outdoor walking in rain and normal British weather conditions, it provides full protection.

Yes. The anti-fall zip closure is engineered to stay closed under the repetitive movement of walking and running. It does not open accidentally. Your phone, keys and cards go in before you leave the house and they remain secured until you open the zip yourself.

EnduReco Guide
The guide.
Your questions.

The EnduReco Guide is a PDF digital download. You receive instant access immediately after purchase — no waiting, no postage, no delivery window. It is sent to the email address you use at checkout and can be downloaded to any device.

The EnduReco Guide was created by Trekkfit — based on our own research into weighted walking, the peer-reviewed literature, and what genuinely works for time-poor adults who walk daily. It is not ghostwritten. It is an honest guide of what we know about starting, progressing and maintaining a weighted walking habit.

It is not produced by or endorsed by a medical institution. If you have specific health concerns, consult a qualified professional. The guide is designed as a practical starting point, not a clinical programme.

No — and that is intentional. Generic fixed-timeline programmes fail because everybody's body adapts differently. The guide instead gives you the signals to look for: how your breathing, recovery, energy and leg fatigue change as indicators of when you're ready to progress.

This approach produces better long-term results than a rigid schedule because it works with how your body actually responds — not a generic average.

Research & evidence
The science.
Your questions.

Every statistic we use comes from publicly available peer-reviewed research. Specifically:

  • 10–15% increase in calorie expenditure during weighted walking at approximately 10% body weight — Puthoff et al. (2008), Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise; Grabowski & Kram (2008), Journal of Applied Physiology
  • Elevated heart rate at identical walking speed with a weighted vest — Lloyd et al. (2010), Journal of Sports Sciences
  • Up to 27% reduction in perceived muscle soreness with compression garments post-exercise — Scanlan et al. (2008), Journal of Strength & Conditioning Research

These studies are publicly available and we encourage you to read them. We do not claim these results are guaranteed for every individual — they are findings from controlled research. Individual results will vary depending on starting fitness, weight used, frequency of use and overall lifestyle. We link to our full evidence review at The Science.

It increases the calorie expenditure of each walk at the same speed and distance, which contributes to a calorie deficit when your diet stays the same. Research suggests a 10–15% increase in calorie expenditure during weighted walking at around 10% body weight (Puthoff et al., 2008). Over time, that cumulative difference can be meaningful.

Weight loss is the result of a sustained calorie deficit over time — not a single product. The weighted vest makes your existing walks more demanding. It does not replace good nutrition or a healthy overall lifestyle. We will not make promises we cannot keep.

It increases the muscular demand placed on your legs, glutes, core and lower back — the muscles most active during walking. Adding external load to a repeated movement pattern may, over time, contribute to strength improvement in those areas with consistent daily use.

The effect is functional strengthening rather than significant muscle mass gain. For meaningful increases in muscle size, progressive resistance training would be needed in addition. Many people describe their legs and core feeling more capable after several weeks of consistent weighted walking — but this varies by individual.

Yes. The 90-day guarantee specifically covers products you've actually worn and used — not just products you haven't opened. We want you to give it a real trial. The guarantee exists because we believe in the product. If it isn't right for you after genuinely using it, that matters to us and we will address it.

The 1-year warranty covers manufacturing defects — faults in materials or construction present from the time of manufacture. This includes stitching failures, vest body deformation, defective velcro systems, or sleeve fabric defects. It does not cover damage from misuse, wear and tear from normal use over time, or damage from improper care.

To make a warranty claim: email support@trekkfit.com with your order number, a photo of the defect, and a brief description. We will respond within 2 working days.

Yes — the 90-day satisfaction guarantee applies to the EnduReco Guide as well. It is a digital product, so there is nothing physical to return. If you've read it, tried it, and it genuinely hasn't worked for you — email us and we will issue a full refund. We take that risk because we believe in what we've put together.
